We are NOT a costume
Laurier Students Public Interest Research Group (LSPIRG) is a not-for-profit research organization based out of Wilfrid Laurier's Waterloo and Brantford campuses. LSPIRG helps develop advocacy skills and raise awareness about a variety of different social and environmental issues. Thieves of Fashion sat down with LSPIRG's Jaydene Lavallie, about the "I AM NOT A COSTUME" campaign, cultural appropriation within fashion and where she draws the line between appreciation and appropriation.
