With the cost of appropriating in different manners now evident, we will look at the way in which people are hoping to change appropriation in the future.

 

One solution that is proposed involves celebrations such as Tamil Heritage Month. A group of Laurier Brantford students showed the ways in which a celebration such as this can help inform people and help them appreciate other culture’s in a healthy manner.

A campaign that is designed to help prevent cultural appropriation in the future is LSPIRG'S I AM NOT A COSTUME campaign. The discussion also focused on the harm that cultural appropriation can cause.
